Stockholm, 27 January 2011 (MIA) - A business presentation and tasting of Macedonian wines will be held Thursday in Stockholm, arranged by the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia to Sweden and chamber of commerce Sweden-Southeast Europe.
Minister of Agriculture Ljupco Dimovski will attend the presentation, thus confirming the Government's support to the country's wine production. In the course of the visit, Minister Dimovski will also meet Swedish Minister for Rural Affairs Eskil Erlandsson, MIA reports.
Today's presentation is expected to have a stimulative effect, inviting 180 wine importers and representatives of the Swedish Alcohol Retail Monopoly "Systembolaget", media, business community and Macedonian community in Sweden.
The presentation includes brands " Tikves ", " Skovin ", " Stobi ", " Dudin ", " Bovin ", " Lozar ", " Popova Kula ", " Popov ", " Dzumajlija ", and " Vik-Angelo ".

Skopje, 27 January 2011 - Agriculture Minister Ljupco Dimovski, who is attending the presentation of Macedonian wines in Stockholm, met Thursday with Swedish Minister for Rural Affairs Eskil Erlandsson and senior officials of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
Dimovski presented the Government's project for constructing fruit & vegetable market centers as an opportunity for Swedish businessmen to invest in Macedonia. He briefed Erlandsson about the current developments in Macedonia's agricultural sector and invited him to a ministerial meeting in Skopje, scheduled for this November.
Today's presentation, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia to Sweden and chamber of commerce Sweden-Southeast Europe, has attracted many businessmen, media representatives and common visitors.
" Macedonia's wine sector has been making substantial progress for the last few years. The number of wine cellars has been growing. Following the global trend, they have been investing in new technologies and capacity building for production of best-quality wines. Many Macedonian wines have won golden medals at the most prominent international fairs. It becomes clear to us that wine production is the driving power of the business sector and therefore the Ministry of Agriculture has been investing in this branch, supporting its substantial development , Dimovski said.
